HEALTH CARE

The WHO states “there is no health without mental health”.Physical and Mental Health are the two components of overall Health and are closely connected.Being in a good mental state can keep you healthy and help prevent serious health conditions. Similarly, poor mental health can lead to poor physical health or harmful behaviors.

Snigdhasridevi foundation has worked in overall Health Care since inception.

in this process Snigdhasridevi foundation Organizing Medical Camps;
Medical Camps are being organized by the Foundation once or twice a month depending upon the need of the hour. The aim of these camps is to render medical assistance to poor and needy people who could not have access to quality medical care because of economical constraints. About 7000 people have been so far benefitted by these camps in terms of free consultation, medicines, USG, ECG and other blood tests. Follow up camps are also held after every 2 months to monitor the improvement in the patients. The Foundation also held screening medical camps like diabetic, anemic, psychological assessment, malnutrition, etc.

Being a man or a woman has a significant impact on health, as a result of both biological and gender-related differences. The health of women and girls is of particular concern because, in many societies, they are disadvantaged by discrimination rooted in sociocultural factors. For example, women and girls face increased vulnerability to HIV/AIDS.

Some of the sociocultural factors that prevent women and girls to benefit from quality health services and attaining the best possible level of health include:

unequal power relationships between men and women;
social norms that decrease education and paid employment opportunities;
an exclusive focus on women’s reproductive roles; and
potential or actual experience of physical, sexual and emotional violence.
While poverty is an important barrier to positive health outcomes for both men and women, poverty tends to yield a higher burden on women and girls’ health due to, for example, feeding practices (malnutrition) and use of unsafe cooking fuels (COPD).

The purpose is to bring down the healthcare budget of every citizen through providing quality generic medicines at affordable prices.
